Sham: yea, got it several times, fixed it several times with different methods. the fix doesnt last long (since my little bros spend hrs on it), basically Microsoft put a time bomb so u eventually buy another one or a "updated" slim one (due to the terrible design of the heat sink) u have xbox360?

Yusuf Ak: My uncle in law just got his rrod so he was worried that it would be a reoccurring problem even after attempting to fix it. Did you end up getting a new system?
Sham: no, my little bros played on it, i am pc guy :P, well if your cousins don't play alot, the fix can last for a very long while, both most fixes last several weeks. problem is the next time u fix it, the fix lasts for a shorter time. lol this is if ur bros have overheating problem (3 lights i think) if they fan just broke, its differnt light pattern, or if cd rom/hd messed.

I fixed the RRoD about 3 weeks ago now and it's going strong. But I'm keeping $200 aside for a new Xbox just in case. Actually I deferred a bday gift till my Xbox crashes.
Yusuf Ak Shamsul, did you ever get a red ring of death on your 360 and was able to fix it?
