Muslim
A Muslim (Arabic: مسلم), pronounced /ˈmʊslɨm/, is an adherent of the religion of Islam. Literally, the word means "one who submits (to God)". Muslim is the participle of the same verb of which Islam is the infinitive. The feminine form is sometimes used as Muslimah (Arabic: مسلمة), especially in recent years. All Muslims observe Sunnah, but differences in the definition of what is and what is not Sunnah has led to the emergence of sectarian movements. The well-organised and cohesive community of Muslims who accept the Sunnah as defined within one of the traditional Maliki, Hanafi, Shafi or Hanbali madhabs are the classical Sunni Muslims. Those who fall outside of this fold are the Shia Muslims, though often thinking themselves to be Sunni Muslims.
Muslims believe that there is only one God, translated in Arabic as Allah. Muslims also believe that Islam existed long before Muhammad though it was not called Islam until the revelation of Surah al-Maeda. Muslims believe that this religion had evolved with time from the time of Adam until the time of Muhammad and was completed with the revelation of verse 3 of Surah al-Maeda:

Peygamber Efendimiz (sav) bugunlerin onemini soyle ifade ediyor:
"Salih amellerin Allah'a en ziyade sevgili oldugu gunler bu on gundur! Ondaki her bir gunun orucu bir yillik oruca (sevapca) esittir. Ondaki bir gece kiyami (ibadetle ihya edilmesi) Kadir gecesinin kiyamina (ihyasina) esittir.
Peygamber Efendimizin zevcesi Hafsa (r.a) diyor ki:
"Resulullah (sav) dort seyi terk etmezdi: Asure gunu orucu Zilhicce'nin on gunu orucuher ay uc gun orucu ve sabahin iki rekât sunneti."
Ebu'd-Derda (r.a) Zilhicce ayinin onemini soyle anlatiyor: "Zilhiccenin ilk 9 gunu oruc tutmali cok sadaka vermeli cok dua ve istigfar etmelidir. Cunku Resulullah (sav):
"Bu on gunun hayir ve bereketinden mahrum kalana yaziklar olsun" buyurdu.
Zilhicce'nin ilk dokuz gunu oruc tutanin omru bereketli olur mali cogalir cocugu belâlardan korunur gunahlari affedilir iyiliklerine kat kat sevab verilir olum aninda ruhunu kolay teslim eder kabri aydinlanir Mizan'da sevabi agir basar ve cennette yuksek derecelere kavusur." (Sir'a)
Allah indinde Zilhiccenin ilk on gununde yapilan amellerden daha kiymetlisi yoktur. Bugunlerde tesbihi (Subhanallah) tahmidi (Elhamdulillah) tehlili (La ilahe illallah) ve tekbiri (Allahu ekber) cok soyleyin! (Abd b. Humeyd Musned 1-257)
Allah-u Teâlâ'nin bereketli kildigi Kur'ân-i Kerim'de uzerine yemin edilen Zilhicce'nin ilk on gecesinde yapilan amellere 700 misli sevab verilecegini Peygamber Efendimiz (sav) mujdeliyor. Bugunler bizlere tevbe etme ve kisa zaman dilimlerinde tekrar cok semere elde etme firsatinin verildigi gunlerdir.

Saliha Çağla: kurban bayramı ilk güne oruç gibi başlayıp, ilk kurbanın etinden yenirse de bir gün oruç tutmuş gibi sevap veriliyormuş =)
